Volunteer!

The CMSC Alpine Racing program is run entirely by volunteers. It's an impressive undertaking put together each year by very dedicated racers. The program is always looking for new people to fill both the key positions, and smaller roles as well. Every year a few remain open, making it quite a challenge to run a smooth operation. All racers are expected to help out in small ways at each and every race.

Gatekeeping duties will be assigned by racing class instead of clubs this season. It doesn't take much effort to write down race times at the race area finish, line up racers according to the start order, carry down a few gates, chalk the course, set up banners or roll up a finish area fence. Look around, help pick up the slack and make a difference.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people, build both life and corporate skills, and learn more about ski racing. There are appealing benefits extended to volunteers in the form of free race fees and lift tickets. Persons interested in learning more about volunteering should contact Debbie Clegg.
