Amateur Ski & Snowboard Racing

The CMSC Alpine Racing Program provides skiers and snowboarders of all abilities the opportunity to compete with each other and against the clock, in a setting of fun, camaraderie and good sportsmanship. 14 Slalom and Giant Slalom (GS) ski races are scheduled on weekends throughout the winter in the Midwestern United States.  Snowboarders and Junior racers participate in the GS races only.  The program is based in Chicago and is a division of the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council.

To participate in the CMSC Alpine Racing program simply pick a convenient date, be sure to register for the race(s), and head out to the race course.

Make sure to get your gear at Viking Ski Shop, our generous title sponsor.

Making new friends at a ski race is easy. People willing to participate in outdoor winter sports are typically very outgoing. Consider volunteering to feel comfortable from the start.
